The Australian Career Book Award  – The Awarded Book 2025

The Australian Career Book Award: hosted by the Royal Society of Arts has assessed four Finalist Books to decide on the awarded book for 2025.

Andrea Clarke, Adapt: Mastering change in four steps, Simon & Schuster, 2025

Claire Seeber, Less hustle, More happy, Major Street, 2025

Richard Triggs, Winning the war for talent, Publish Central, 2025

Richard Triggs, Uncover the hidden job market. Publish Central, 2023

The RSA congratulates the authors for their creativity and vision, and All Publishers Great and Small for their commitment in supporting career development in Australia.

The awarded book for 2025 is:
Andrea Clarke, Adapt: Mastering change in four steps, Simon & Schuster, 2025

There were consistent high scores for Adapt across the Award Committee assessments. Career and life change is often about responding to external forces over which we have little control, but I’d like to share an Adapt quote that stood out for me:

… sometimes the clearest signal of change is in the mirror. Pay attention to yourself and your behaviour – it may be sending you the signal you need.

Congratulations to Andrea for bringing her change perspective to a wide audience to help Australians ‘manage career and work life’.
